Applicants who are not selected for one of the fourteen scholarships will be invited to attend our Annual Meeting, where remaining applicants will be entered into a drawing for one additional $1,000 scholarship –recipient must be present to win.*

As a cooperative, we operate as a non-profit. After operating expenses are paid, we allocate remaining margins back to the members in the form of capital credits. With Board approval, capital credits are retired (paid out) periodically. Often, the recipient can’t be located and their capital credits go unclaimed. One of our core principles is education, therefore unclaimed capital credits are applied to our Education Trust Fund which helps fund our scholarship program.
