Wildfire Preparedness for MEC Members

Living in the Northwest has countless benefits, from tranquil surroundings and unmatched scenery, to the plentiful wildlife and recreational activities. Calling the mountains home is truly a fulfilling experience, however it does not come without risk.

As an electric utility, MEC is focused on developing and maintaining a Wildfire Mitigation Plan to protect our field equipment, members, their communities and surrounding areas. We encourage homeowners to develop a wildfire plan, as well! To help you get started, we’ve compiled a list of helpful links, below, which are a great starting point in developing your own strategy, should a wildfire impact your community.
