We believe in investing in today’s youth, because YOU are our future! We know some of the brightest students reside within our district schools and we want to give them an opportunity to experience the past, present and future of our great country.
If you are currently a Sophomore or Junior and your parent or legal guardian is an MEC Member, we invite you to apply for Youth Tour 2022! Essay winners from across the nation are invited to partake in the trip of a lifetime to Washington D.C. from June 18 – 25, 2022.
If you’re the lucky winner, you will join more than 1,500 high school students and watch history come to life as you explore museums, memorials and monuments, and rub elbows with US Representatives and Senators. All of this and more, while learning about the history of rural electrification and the value it brings to our communities.
